Landscapes
— Shot in the great outdoors from all around the world.
- Canadian Rockies, Canada
This was taken in the Canadian Rockies in the wilderness. This was one of the most surreal experiences taking this photo. On the way to taking the photo the walk was sketchy to say the least, as I had to go through waist deep snow.. When I arrived at the location the light looked promising and ready to explode., The ice on the lake was too thin to be standing on and felt like it could give way at any point so I had to tread carefully. Then I setup my camera in very deep snow and eagerly awaited the light. When it finally came, I was so excited and ended up taking lots of the same photo! This photo is the result of a 7 shot vertical panorama.
- Cape Verde, Sal
As I was walking the brittle salt flats of Sal I spotted this awesome foreground which is Dunaliella algae, due to the warm salt water that once filled the whole flat and has dried up due to the dry season.
- Peak District, Mam Tor
As I was wandering up the craggy path up to the summit of Mam Tor, I saw this winding road peeking over the hill and I was greeted to this amazing composition with road and ridge line parallel to each other in perfect matrimony.
- Somewhere in the remote desert, Boa Vista, Cape Verde
As I walked across the remote desert on the beautiful island of Cape Verde I spotted this beautiful ridge line that would be a perfect leading line for my photo. A few minutes after I took this I was swarmed by 50 vultures circling above, trying to attack my drone that I had launched just minutes earlier.
- Vianna Desert, Boa Vista
This was taken in a small remote patch of desert on the island of Boa Vista on the west coast of Africa, with a DJI Mavic Pro. This was a risky shot however because shortly after this shot was taken my drone got swarmed by vultures and I thought for sure that It would be taken down but I managed to bring in back down safely to bring you this photo.
